The bicycle in the print was my first bike as a kid, a Huffy Desert Rose with a super cool and comfy banana seat. My sister and I got the same bike that year for Christmas. My parents had this weird notion that if we got the same exact toys that we wouldn't fight over who got the coolest doll, game, or bike. That plan ultimately backfired on them when one of the identical items would break & we fought over which one of us it belonged to. To this day I still put my name on everything I own!

Po-ta-to chips. One day Jason came up with this idea & I said, "Who the heck is going to know what this means?" Then he showed me countless memes and GIFs online of Old Samwise blabbering on about Po-ta-toes. :D So sometimes Jason does have good ideas.

Did the Fringe gang ever remind anyone else of the Scooby Gang? We thought the similarities were uncanny. Ahhh, Fringe, what a great show! Until the last season. meh. Can you crack the secret code at the bottom of the shirt?  

Yeah, I'd be scared of that basement too. The only thing more horrifying than giant spiders is the small spider with the really blobby looking butt that's all jacked up in the air like it's going to sting you. I shudder at those spiders.

True story...I drank spider coffee once. It was unintentional, for sure. The poor guy crawled into my coffee cup before I poured the brew. I didn't notice him until I finished the last drop. You know when you eat cookies & sometimes have crumbs in the bottom of your mug when you're done? Well, I didn't eat any cookies. I was pretty disgusted to notice the spider, but Jason thought it was a real hoot. He was standing by in anticipation to see if I developed super spidey powers.

The main components ware a 12″ GI Joe body and a vintage Wheelchair Becky Barbie Doll wheelchair. The pants and boots came with the Joe figure, but I made the coat and shirt by hand. The coat is a soft purple fabric on the inside and a black satin on the outside, complete with pockets to stash his comics in. I found a glass cocktail drink stirrer at a flea market and molded the top and bottom of the cane to it. And of course I hand painted his face, hands, and wheelchair.

Just something we did for fun! Crumb's iconic social statement and... uh... zombies. Cause "walkers" will just continue truckin' until you introduce a samurai sword to their frontal lobe.

Jason has a reputation for making some pretty neat Christmas gifts for me. This is one of my favorites! He drew mini cards of my favorite movie and TV characters saying my most-liked quotes... Predator (my favorite movie eva), Snaga from LOTR, Jaws, They Live (Jason is terrible at spelling, heehee), and Doctor Who. Oh, and cute little pic of Muppet Us.

This felt 10th Doctor plush features posable, sticky-uppy hair—just like David Tennant's—a super cool removable trench coat, a sonic screwdriver, and real 3-D glasses. I made this for our friends' son's second birthday party.

David Lynch has such a great face that I had to paint it!

Nearly every year we make our own Christmas cards for our friends and family. This one was a bit over ambitious & nearly killed us. But getting a pop-up card in the mail is just about the greatest thing ever. We went through a lot of X-acto blades :D

Just look at how happy Alison is to get a Christmas groundhog, who in turn is happy to get a tomato from her garden.

Nearly every year we make our own Christmas cards for our friends and family. We wanted this card to look like a cheesy B-horror movie. It was printed poster size, folded, and mailed out to our families who proceeded to lavish us with praises for our creativity. Then they asked us who the heck Vin Diesel was.

This one actually won second place in the famous Joe Blundo Christmas contest for the Columbus Dispatch. We won a whopping fifty bucks. Woohoo :D

We did a series of pen and ink illustrations of classic literary characters for a decoupage bookshelf for our niece. We decoupaged an old bookshelf with vintage paperback book pages. Jason did the initial character pencil sketches and Alison transferred them to the bookshelf and inked them.
