We’re super excited to announce the fourth annual Zinggia Ohio Art Scholarship Winners. We had a lot of amazing submissions this year, more than we’ve ever had in past years. There were so many great submissions, that we had a difficult time choosing just one art scholarship winner. So we decided to award TWO winners this year.

The winners are… drum roll… Sara Calhoun & Clare Faley!

Sara Calhoun

Sara first drew us in with her super-duper artsy envelope. Cut paper, stickers, and a collage with hand drawn elements. Very cool! Sara is skilled with traditional mediums and digital art. Her sketchbook and overall style is incredibly unique. For real, just take a look at the samples she submitted for our art scholarship!!! Now hop on over to her website to see her fantastic and fun comics. We laughed out loud at her unique sense of humor.

Sara plans to major in Film Animation. Her dream job would be to work for a studio like Laika to make gorgeous and innovative films. We know Sara will have a successful career in art because, ya know, this girl obviously ROCKS already!

Clare Faley

Clare caught our attention because her entire application was brimming with creativity and humor. She’s developed her own super cute characters named Softies. They are humanlike animals that live in a world much like humans today. Softies have moral dilemmas and troubles just like humans do. Clare’s Softies illustrations have such a wonderfully fun style. Clare plans to major in Fine Arts at The Ohio State University. Her dream job would be to work as an animator and create a TV series with original characters and stories. We know Clare will be a very successful artist based on her amazing samples.

Sara & Clare will each get a giant, monsterific, hand drawn $2k bill in the mail.
